Sporty lines, targeted aerodynamic optimization and a precise vehicle-specific design: The PUIG Z-Racing screen was developed for the 2018 KAWASAKI ZX-6R NINJA. Its double-height contour directs airflow over the helmet and upper torso, while side channels direct the air outwards, reducing pressure in the shoulder area.

Dimensions and construction

The disc measures 350 x 350 mm and is 15 mm higher than the original. It is made in Barcelona from 3 mm thick, highly impact-resistant acrylic. The 2 mm rounded edge meets the relevant safety controls of the German TÜV.

Tested in the virtual wind tunnel

PUIG tuned the Z-Racing screen with virtual wind tunnel tests to improve the aerodynamic coefficient and wind protection. Compared to the original model, an average improvement in aerodynamic protection of 12.7% with the upper body upright and 61% in the racing position was determined.

The Z-Racing lens is available in carbon look, heavily tinted, tinted, black, orange, green and clear. This means you can choose the sporty shape to match the desired look of the motorcycle.

PUIG manufactures this vehicle-specific motorcycle component using modern production technologies in Barcelona. A camera-based testing system supports the quality control of the panes.
