PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

MALOSSI crankshaft for the Vespa ET 3 with diaphragm valve

This MALOSSI crankshaft is intended for the Vespa ET 3 in the full year range from 1976 to 1983. It is suitable for engines that have been converted to a reed valve intake instead of the original rotary valve. It is therefore aimed at structures in which the crankshaft must be coordinated with the changed inlet configuration.

Technical features

  • Pin: ø 15
  • Connecting rod: 105mm
  • Stroke: 51mm
  • Cone: ø 20
  • Designed as a complete crankshaft for diaphragm valve engines
  • Reinforced aviation grade steel, vacuum cast
  • Tungsten inserts to optimize crankshaft balance
  • “Viper Head” connecting rod with reduced weight with required rigidity

Design for the membrane inlet

The crankshaft has a specially designed bevel on the gearbox side. It supports fresh gas absorption under the oil pan. The circular mass structure is designed for the combination of crankshaft and modified sump. Revised thread and wedge designs contribute to the durability of the assembly.

Vehicle assignment and assembly instructions

Suitable for Vespa ET 3, built between 1976 and 1983. For assembly, the crankshaft seat on the ignition side of the engine housing must be drilled to Ø 87. This vehicle also requires a spacer kit and ball bearing kit; both are available separately.

The product is intended exclusively for racing in designated locations in accordance with the regulations of the relevant sports authorities. The assembly should be carried out using the associated assembly instructions and with professional processing of the motor housing.
