The MALOSSI gear set combines the tooth numbers Z 55/40/37/36 and is intended for the Vespa Cosa 150 in the 1988-1997 model year range. The design of the number of teeth is tailored to achieve an optimized gear ratio. This makes the set suitable for applications in which the gear ratios of the four gears need to be specifically adjusted.

• Made from specially hardened steel
• Manufacture with CNC hobbing machines
• Ground contact surfaces for gear mesh
• Small depressions in the contact surfaces support oil transport and improve lubrication of the sliding surfaces
• Relief holes on the wheels where this was possible

The area of the contact surface between the wheel and the gear selector lever was left out of the relief holes so as not to cause any breakage there. The gear combination differs from the original and therefore enables a variable gear ratio depending on the application requirements.
