PUIG Z-Racing screen for the YAMAHA YZF-R1M

Sporty lines, targeted airflow and a height that is 30 mm higher than the original window: The PUIG Z-Racing lens combines an aggressive racing look with aerodynamic protection for the driver, helmet and upper body.

Well thought-out aerodynamics

The double height directs the wind over the helmet and the upper part of the upper body. Side channels direct air to the outside to reduce pressure in the shoulder area. PUIG examined the screen in the virtual wind tunnel and designed it to have an improved drag coefficient and greater aerodynamic protection compared to the original screen.

The measured improvement in aerodynamic protection compared to the original averages 12.7% in an upright upper body position and 61% in the racing position.

Dimensions and construction

• Dimensions (height × width): 360 × 300 mm
• 30 mm higher than the original disc
• Material thickness: 3 mm
• Made from impact-resistant acrylic glass
• 2 mm thick, rounded edge in accordance with the safety requirements of the German TÜV test
• Using the original screws
• No additional parts such as edge profiles required

The disc is developed and manufactured in Barcelona. A camera-based quality control system is used to check the shape and surface quality of each component.

Designs for an individual appearance

The Z-Racing lens is available in blue, carbon look, heavily tinted, tinted, black, red and clear. This means that the sporty shape can be tailored specifically to the desired character of the motorcycle.
