The VERTEX GP Racer Choice forged piston was developed for use in the GAS GAS EC 250 F from the 2021-2023 model year range. Its forged aluminum design and racing piston compression combine the design features of the Racer's Choice series with precisely defined dimensions for the right engine.

Function and design features

• The optimized shape of the piston crown supports a favorable flame front and the achievement of the maximum permissible compression ratio.
• A surface treatment reduces friction.
• Reinforcements stiffen the piston structure and limit deformation of the piston crown under full load.
• The short piston pin has a DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coating.
• The locking ring with an external nose counteracts twisting at high speeds.
• The extra-thin GNH piston ring made of gas nitrided steel increases wear resistance.
