The VERTEX GP Racer Choice forged piston is designed for the GasGas MC 250 F Factory Edition from 2023-2025. As a forged aluminum version with racing piston compression, it is tailored to the requirements of a performance-oriented 4-stroke engine.

Well thought-out piston design

The shape and design of the piston crown supports an optimized flame front and enables the maximum permissible compression ratio to be achieved. Reinforcements stiffen the piston structure and reduce piston crown deformation under full load. A surface treatment serves to reduce friction.

The short piston pin has a chamfer with a DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coating. The locking ring with a nose on the outside counteracts twisting at high speeds. The extra-thin GNH piston ring made of gas nitrided steel increases wear resistance.
