VERTEX GP Racer Choice forged pistons for GasGas MC 450 F Troy LEE Designs

The VERTEX GP Racer Choice forged piston is designed as a forged aluminum version for the 4T engine of the GasGas MC 450 F Troy LEE Designs from 2023. The design and shape of the piston crown were designed to optimize the flame front and achieve the maximum permissible compression ratio.

Function and construction

Reinforcements stiffen the piston structure and reduce piston crown deformation under full load. The surface treatment is designed to reduce friction. The design also includes a short piston pin and a chamfer with DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coating.
