Aluminum cylinder for the Honda CBR 125 RS

The MALOSSI aluminum cylinder with Ø 67 is designed for the Honda CBR 125 RS (JC 34) from the 2005-2006 model year range. Its design combines an aluminum cylinder with a high content of hardened and tempered silicon with a cylinder liner that has a silicon carbide coating and cross-cut honing.

Precise cylinder machining

Machining is carried out on machine tools with precise numerical control. The cylinder-piston clearance is 0.05 mm. Recalculated and improved heat exchange surfaces are among the technical features of the cylinder.

Pistons and piston rings

The ultra-compact piston has a lightweight design and is reinforced. It is made of special aluminum with a high silicon content, low thermal expansion and a tin coating on the sliding surfaces. Piston machining is also carried out on numerically controlled machine tools. The improved heat exchange surfaces complement the design.
