AXP Enduro Xtrem underrun protection for Honda CRF 450 R

The AXP Enduro Xtrem underrun protection made of 8 mm thick HDPE offers the Honda CRF 450 R comprehensive protection for the lower engine area. Its design extends from the frame to the underside of the footrests and thus covers the central area under the motorcycle.

Function and execution

• 8 mm thick high density polyethylene (HDPE)
• Extended protective surface up to the shock absorber deflection
• Double material thickness below the deflection
• Reinforcement part for the area under the deflection included in delivery
• Color: Red

The additional reinforcement under the deflection is aimed at the particularly stressed zone. The skid plate has been developed using a new design and manufacturing process to cover the underside of the engine, frame area and the section up to the footpegs in a continuous protection solution.

Testing under extreme conditions

The component was tested and approved by Wade Young of the Sherco Factory Team after a year of testing under “Hard / Extreme” conditions. This documents the design for use under demanding conditions.
