The VERTEX Race Evolution cast piston is designed for the KTM 125 EXC from the 2001-2017 model year range. As a 2T piston for off-road and racing use, it combines precise design with technical features that are tailored to ensure smooth running between piston and cylinder.

Function and execution

The piston is made of aluminum and is designed as a cast version. An exclusive MoS2 coating supports low-friction, even movement in the cylinder. The design with specific pockets is designed to promote smooth running between the piston and cylinder. Nitrided steel rings complement the racing concept of the piston.
