Pistons and piston rings

The ultra-compact three-ring piston is made of a special aluminum alloy with a high silicon content and low thermal expansion. A tin coating on the sliding surfaces supports the design of the component. The piston is weight-reduced and reinforced. The ring set includes a nitrided and chrome-plated steel I-ring, a special cast ring and a three-part wiper ring made of special chrome-plated steel alloy.
