MALOSSI aluminum cylinder for the Vespa Sprint 125 3 V Racing Sixties

The MALOSSI aluminum cylinder with 63 mm bore and 14 mm piston pin is intended for the 4-stroke engine of the Vespa Sprint 125 3 V Racing Sixties from 2020. The design is intended as a racing component for competitions at designated venues.

The cylinder liner has a silicon carbide coating in an electroplated nickel form. A crossed smoothing with two diamond passes and very limited tolerances supports precise execution. Machining is carried out on numerically controlled machine tools. Cylinder and piston are matched to each other with a tolerance of 0.05 mm. Revised heat exchange surfaces support the thermal concept of the cylinder.

Pistons and piston rings

The ultra-compact 3-ring piston is made of a special aluminum alloy with high silicon content and low thermal expansion. The sliding surfaces have a tin coating. The piston is weight-reduced and reinforced. Special rings with high sliding properties and high mechanical strength complement the design: a nitrided and chrome-plated I-ring, a special cast ring and a three-part wiper ring made of special chrome-plated steel alloy.

Suitable for the Vespa Sprint 125 3 V Racing Sixties, built in 2020. Installation is only intended with the Force Master 2.1 control unit. The product is intended exclusively for racing in specially designated locations in accordance with the regulations of the relevant sports authorities. No liability is assumed for improper use.
