Properties and settings

The outstanding technical features of the BITUBO CLU31V2 shock absorber include an oil/gas compensation chamber filled with nitrogen and separated by a floating separating piston. The piston skirt has a diameter of 16 mm and has an anti-friction treatment, which, together with the low friction index guide bushes, improves the life and performance of the shock absorber. The upper connection head is made of high quality aeronautical aluminum alloy and precisely machined with CNC machines.

The BITUBO CLU31V2 offers extensive setting options to adapt driving comfort and driving dynamics depending on driving style and road conditions. This includes:

• Low speed compression: 24 clicks
• High speed compression: 20 clicks
• Extension: 24 clicks
• Hydraulic spring preload: 12mm = 24 clicks
• Center distance: 8 mm

The separate compensation pan, connected to the main body via a metal mesh high-pressure hose, provides improved cooling and allows for flexible positioning. The hydraulic preload can be conveniently adjusted by hand or with a hex wrench, using an ergonomically designed handwheel that can be attached without additional tools.

Additionally included are specific assembly instructions for each motorcycle model as well as a detailed damping manual to make installation and adjustment as easy and understandable as possible.
