For the compatible version, the original switch assembly is removed and replaced with the new unit. No modifications to the motorcycle are required, and the original configuration can be restored.

Important for US models: On the US version of the motorcycle, this switch assembly is not Plug-and-Play. The connector must be repinned or the wiring modified. It is therefore suitable only for users who can professionally alter the connector pinout.
